Or take the room, not just the desk.
Tell us how you work. We will tell you what to change first.
One desk, or a set of five pieces: the right answer depends on how long your day is, what you are working on now, and what you already own. Eight questions, several of which we skip once we know enough.
A workspace should change as often as you do.
Kinetic is built around a simple idea: your workspace should adapt to the way you work, not the other way around.
You didn't build your career to spend it fighting your desk.
Your workday demands focus for hours at a time. Your workspace should match that demand.
Traditional furniture keeps you locked in one position. Movement is not a distraction: it is how your body stays alert.
Your environment shapes your output. A workspace that doesn't adapt to you works against you.
Your employer will pay for this. You just have to ask.
Your body was never meant to work in one position all day.
The rest of the room
A desk is where
it starts, not
where it ends.
Seating for the hours you are not standing. Light that reaches the surface. Somewhere for the things that otherwise live on the desk. Each piece is sold on its own, and each one is also part of a complete set.
Start with the desk. Or start with whatever is bothering you most.
Five categories, thirteen pieces, all specified for the same working day.
The questions worth asking before you spend $299.
Straight answers, including the ones that are not in our favour. If yours is not here, ask: we would rather answer it now than after you have paid.
01 Am I supposed to stand all day now?
No. Standing for eight hours is its own problem: it just moves the ache somewhere else.
What changes with a height-adjustable desk is that the choice becomes yours, several times a day, without leaving your work. Sit while you think. Stand while you take a call. Sit again. The point is not standing. It is not being stuck.
02 Will this fix my back pain?
We are not going to tell you it will. We sell furniture, not treatment, and we make no medical claim.
What we can tell you is what the desk changes: you stop spending eight hours in whatever position your desk chose for you at nine in the morning. If you have a diagnosed condition, talk to a clinician, and take this page to them if it helps.
03 Will it fit the space I already have?
The desktop is 48.43 in wide by 24 in deep (123 x 61 cm). Measure the footprint you have now before you order: it is the single thing people get wrong.
Available in white and black, at the same price. If you have a dedicated room, the 55-inch motorized desk gives you a triple-monitor layout instead.
04 Will it hold my monitors?
The frame is rated to 176 lb (80 kg). A dual-monitor arm, a laptop, a dock and the usual clutter sit comfortably inside that.
If you are mounting something unusually heavy, a large ultrawide on a clamp arm for instance, write to us with the weight before you order and we will tell you straight whether it is inside the rating.
05 How do I actually change the height?
It is powered, not a crank. You hold a button and the top travels; it takes seconds, not a coffee break.
Memory presets store the positions you use, so your sitting height and your standing height are one press away instead of something you re-find every time.
06 When does it arrive, and what does delivery cost?
3 to 9 business days, covering both preparation and transit. Orders leave our warehouse in the United States, and you get a tracking link by email the moment yours does.
The delivery cost is calculated at checkout, before you pay, once you enter your address. There is nothing to settle on the doorstep. Full detail on the shipping page.
07 What if I get it and it is not right for me?
You have 30 days from delivery to send it back. It needs to be unused and in its original packaging, with the hardware.
Be aware of one thing before you order: return shipping is paid by you, and this is a 45 lb parcel, so it is not a trivial cost. We would rather you knew that now than discovered it later.
If it arrives damaged or faulty, that is a different matter entirely: we arrange and pay for that return ourselves. The full terms are on the returns page.
08 Why $299 when I can find one for half that?
You can, and some of them are fine for light use. The difference shows up in the parts you do not see in a photograph: a carbon steel frame rated to 176 lb rather than a thin one rated to your monitor and nothing else, and memory presets instead of a manual crank you will stop using by week two.
A desk you adjust twice a day for years is a different object from a desk you adjust twice and give up on. That is what the gap pays for.
Still deciding? Write to us at our contact page with the question in your head right now. A real answer, from a person, before you spend anything.
