About Kinetic Workspaces

We sell furniture for people who work long days at a desk. This page is what we can tell you about how that is done, and what we refuse to tell you.

Most About pages are a story. This one is closer to a disclosure: where the company is, how a product gets specified before we agree to sell it, and the claims we will not make even though the whole category makes them.

What we sell, and to whom

Thirteen pieces across five categories, plus three complete sets. Height-adjustable desks, ergonomic seating, workspace lighting, storage, and the infrastructure nobody photographs: power at the desk, a panel to end the room, air worth breathing for eight hours.

The buyers are individuals equipping a home office, founders equipping a first room, and the person in an office or HR team who inherited the furniture question. The procurement page is written for the last of those.

How a product gets specified

Every product page publishes the full specification rather than a summary, because a specification you cannot check is a marketing claim.

  • Dimensions in inches and millimetres, on every item.
  • Load ratings where load matters: 176 lb (80 kg) on the T-Frame desk, 110 lb per shelf and 440 lb total on the rotating tower.
  • Materials and finish, named rather than described.
  • Certification, per product. ETL for the flush-mount ceiling light. CE for the task lamp. IP44 and SAA for the 6-ring fixture. EPA, CARB, ETL, RoHS, FCC and UKCA for the P280 purifier. REACH, RoHS and CE for the recycling station. FSC for the bamboo console.
  • Packed weight and carton size, where it affects who carries it up the stairs.

Those are the numbers you can hold us to. If one of them is wrong on a page, write to us and we will correct it rather than argue.

A workspace that adapts gives you choices a fixed one does not. That is the whole claim. Everything larger than it is somebody trying to sell you furniture with medicine.

The longer argument is in what a workspace is for.

What we will not claim

We sell furniture. We make no medical claim about any of it, and nothing on this site is advice on the treatment or prevention of any condition.

We will not tell you that a desk cures back pain, corrects posture, prevents injury or fixes fatigue. We do not know that. Nobody selling furniture knows that. The companies that say it are hoping you will not ask for the evidence.

What we will tell you is narrower and true: you stop spending eight hours in whatever position your desk chose for you at nine in the morning. What you do with that is yours, and if you have a diagnosed condition, the person to ask is a clinician, not a furniture company.

We would rather be trusted on the small claim than doubted on the large one. It costs us sales. We think it is the right trade.

Where we are

Our registered office is in Czechia. Orders are picked, packed and dispatched from our warehouse in the United States.

Kinetic Workspaces
Španělská 749
Vinohrady, 120 00 Praha
Czechia

We ship within the United States only, in 3 to 9 business days, tracked, at a flat $14 per order whatever is in it. Full detail on the shipping page.

What we do not do yet

Stated here rather than discovered later.

  • No purchase orders and no payment terms. Orders are paid in full at checkout, by card.
  • No published volume pricing. The 10% on the complete sets is the only standing discount.
  • No assembly or installation service.
  • No delivery outside the United States.
  • Stock is finite, and the figure at checkout is live rather than decorative.

Returns run 30 days from delivery. Return shipping on a change of mind is paid by you, and these are heavy parcels, so it is not a trivial cost. If an item arrives damaged or not as described, we arrange and pay for the return ourselves. The returns page has the full terms.

Who writes this

One person writes this site, under the name Anthony Catano. The specifications, the sentences about what we will not claim, the answers in the FAQ that argue against the sale, the journal: same hand, same inbox.

It is worth saying, because the decisions on this site are the kind a committee does not take. Publishing a load rating you can check. Refusing to say a desk fixes a back. Listing what we do not do yet, before you find it out for yourself. Those hold better with a name attached to them than without one.

So if a number on a product page is wrong, or a sentence here reads like marketing rather than fact, the person to write to is the person who wrote it.

There is one email address and a person behind it.

Questions about a product before you buy are the ones we most want. We would rather answer them now than after you have paid.
